H.F. 502 Section 1. Section 256.146, Code 2025, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 28. Adopt rules pursuant to chapter 17A 3 establishing an activities administration authorization. 4 The rules must require an applicant for the activities 5 administration authorization to hold a baccalaureate degree or 6 higher in any academic field. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill modifies provisions related to the activities 11 administration authorization established by the board of 12 educational examiners (BOEE). 13 The BOEE has established the activities administration 14 authorization by administrative rule. Under current rule, 15 an applicant for the authorization must have a baccalaureate 16 degree or higher related to athletics, physical education, or 17 a related field.
