H.F. 2390 Section 1. Section 15.354, subsection 4, paragraph g, Code 1 2026, is amended by striking the paragraph and inserting in 2 lieu thereof the following: 3 g. The authority shall issue tax incentives under the 4 program as the authority determines the workforce housing 5 project is complete and all of the requirements have been 6 met until the maximum amount of tax incentives allowed under 7 paragraph “a” is reached. 8 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Act, being deemed of immediate 9 importance, takes effect upon enactment. 10 EXPLANATION 11 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 12 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 13 This bill relates to workforce housing tax incentives issued 14 by the economic development authority (authority). 15 The bill strikes a provision requiring the authority 16 to issue workforce housing tax incentives on a first-come, 17 first-served basis until the maximum amount allowable for the 18 fiscal year has been achieved under Code section 15.354(4)(a). 19 The bill specifies the authority shall issue the tax incentives 20 as the authority determines the workforce housing project is 21 complete and the requirements have been met until the maximum 22 amount allowable has been achieved. 23 The bill takes effect upon enactment. 24 -1- LSB 6827YH (2) 91 jm/jh 1/ 1
