adding
the

shall
be
eligible
to
serve

on
the
Iowa
law
enforcement
academy
council
for
more
than
two

terms
in
succession.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does

constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
membership
of
the
Iowa
law
25
enforcement
academy
council.
26
The
bill
provides
that
one
member
of
the
council
must
be
a
27
resident
of
the
state
who
has
not
been
employed
as
a
certified
28
law
enforcement
officer
and
two
additional
officers
are
29
designated
to
replace
two
residents
of
the
state.
30
The
bill
provides
that
one
member
shall
be
a
police
officer
31
who
is
a
member
of
a
police
department
of
a
city
with
a
32
population
of
25,000
persons
or
more,
and
one
member
shall
be
33
a
police
officer
who
is
a
member
of
a
police
department
of
a
34
city
with
a
population
of
less
than
5,000
persons.
Current
