H.F. 2025 Section 1. Section 8A.707, subsection 2, paragraph b, Code 1 2026, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. Maintain adequately staffed research centers that are 3 open to the public in buildings located in Des Moines and Iowa 4 City. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill specifies that the historical resource research 9 centers that the department of administrative services must 10 maintain under current law in Des Moines and Iowa City must be 11 in buildings located in those cities, adequately staffed, and 12 open to the public. 13 -1- LSB 5353YH (3) 91 sc/ns 1/ 1
