S.F. 69 Section 1. MEDICAL CANNABIDIOL —— FEDERAL EXEMPTION TASK 1 FORCE. The department of health and human services shall 2 convene a task force of legal experts to assist the department 3 in executing the department’s responsibilities under 2020 Iowa 4 Acts, chapter 1116, section 31. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill requires the department of health and human 9 services to convene a task force of legal experts to assist 10 the department in ensuring that educational and long-term care 11 facilities that receive federal funding and that allow the use 12 and administration of medical cannabidiol on the grounds of the 13 facilities do not lose eligibility for federal funding. 14 -1- LSB 1656XS (2) 90 ss/rh 1/ 1
