S.F. 529 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 461A.48A Designated equestrian 1 campgrounds. 2 A person may reserve a designated equestrian campground not 3 more than three months prior to the date of the reservation if 4 the person attests during registration and proves upon checking 5 in that the campground will be used to stable equine animals 6 during the person’s stay at the campground. Any other person 7 shall not reserve a designated equestrian campground more than 8 two months prior to the date of the reservation. 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill relates to the reservation of designated 13 equestrian campgrounds. The bill allows a person to reserve 14 a designated equestrian campground not more than three months 15 prior to the date of the reservation if the person attests 16 during registration and proves upon checking in that the 17 campground will be used to stable equine animals during the 18 person’s stay at the campground. The bill prohibits any other 19 person from reserving a designated equestrian campground 20 more than two months prior to the date of the reservation. 21 By operation of law, a violation of the bill is a simple 22 misdemeanor.
