The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
city
regulation
of
short-term
rental
6
properties.
Under
current
law,
a
city
shall
not
adopt
or
7
enforce
any
regulation,
restriction,
or
other
ordinance,
8
including
a
conditional
use
permit
requirement,
relating
to
9
short-term
rental
properties
within
the
city.
A
city
also
10
shall
not
require
a
license
or
permit
fee
for
a
short-term
11
rental
property
in
the
city.
The
bill
strikes
these
12
prohibitions.
The
bill
does
not
strike
similar
prohibitions
on
13
counties
(Code
section
331.301(17)).
