There
is
appropriated
from
the

general
fund
of
the
state
to
the
college
student
aid
commission

for
the
fiscal
year
beginning
July
1,
2023,
and
ending
June
30,

the

amount,
or
so
much
thereof
as
is
necessary,

to
be
used
for
the
purposes
designated:

This
bill
appropriates
$6.6
million
from
the
general
fund
of
13
the
state
to
the
college
student
aid
commission
in
FY
2023-2024
14
for
purposes
of
providing
scholarships
under
the
national
guard
15
service
scholarship
program,
a
program
administered
by
the
16
college
student
aid
commission
that
provides
annual
scholarship
17
awards
to
Iowa
national
guard
members
who
attend
eligible
18
Iowa
colleges
and
universities.
Under
the
program,
maximum
19
individual
scholarship
awards
cannot
exceed
the
current
maximum
20
resident
tuition
rate
at
institutions
of
higher
education
21
governed
by
the
state
board
of
regents.
