amended
to
read
as
follows:

pharmacist

pursuant

statewide
protocols

board

consultation

the

and
consistent
with
subsection

the
following
to
patients
ages
eighteen

Naloxone.

Nicotine
replacement
tobacco
cessation
products.

immunization
or
vaccination
recommended
by
the

centers
for
disease
control
and
prevention

advisory
committee
on
immunization
practices
in
its
approved

vaccination
schedule
for
adults.

An
immunization
or
vaccination
recommended
by
the

United
States
centers
for
disease
control
and
prevention
for

international
travel.

(5)
A
Tdap
(tetanus,
diphtheria,
acellular
pertussis)

vaccination
in
a
booster
application.

Other
emergency
immunizations
or
vaccinations
in

response
to
a
public
health
emergency.

An
immunization

for

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
the
ordering
and
administering
27
of
epinephrine
auto-injectors
by
a
pharmacist
without
a
28
prescription.
29
The
bill
provides
that
in
accordance
with
statewide
30
protocols
developed
by
the
board
of
pharmacy
in
consultation
31
with
the
department
of
health
and
human
services
as
well
as
32
other
requirements,
a
pharmacist
may
order
and
administer
an
33
epinephrine
auto-injector
without
a
prescription
to
a
person
34
who
is
at
least
18
years
of
age.
