S.F. 320 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 103A.24 Refrigerants. 1 Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a 2 building regulation shall not prohibit or otherwise limit the 3 use of a refrigerant designated as acceptable for use pursuant 4 to and in accordance with 42 U.S.C. §7671k, provided that any 5 equipment containing the refrigerant is listed and installed 6 in accordance with safety standards and use conditions imposed 7 pursuant to such designation. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill allows the use of any refrigerant in this state 12 that is designated as acceptable for use pursuant to and in 13 accordance with 42 U.S.C. §7671k so long as the equipment 14 containing the refrigerant is listed and installed in 15 accordance with applicable safety standards. 16 -1- LSB 1855SV (1) 90 ss/rn 1/ 1
