S.F. 26 Section 1. Section 154.1, subsection 3, paragraph b, 1 subparagraph (1), Code 2023, is amended by adding the following 2 new subparagraph division: 3 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (e) Local injectable 4 anesthetics prior to the administration of injections 5 authorized in subparagraph divisions (a) through (d). 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill allows a licensed optometrist to administer a 10 local injectable anesthetic prior to the administration of 11 other injections authorized by law.
