H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 272.31, subsection 1, Code 2023, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . c. To renew a coaching authorization, an 3 applicant shall be required to complete a course of training 4 relating to concussions. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill requires an applicant for the renewal of a coaching 9 authorization issued by the board of educational examiners 10 to complete a course of training relating to concussions. A 11 coaching authorization is valid for five years.
