paragraph
a,

2024,
is
amended
to
read
as
follows:

a.
Minimum
entrance
requirements,
course
of
study,
3
attendance
requirements,
and
equipment
and
facilities
required
4
at
approved
law
enforcement
training
schools.

(1)
Minimum
entrance
requirements
for
entrance
to
approved
6
law
enforcement
training
schools
shall
include
that
any
law
7
enforcement
officer
be
a
citizen
of
the
United
States.
8
(2)
Minimum
age
requirements
for
entrance
to
approved
law
9
enforcement
training
schools
shall
be
eighteen
years
of
age.
10
(3)
Minimum
course
of
study
requirements
shall
include
a
11
separate
domestic
abuse
curriculum,
which
may
include
but
is
12
not
limited
to
outside
speakers
from
domestic
abuse
shelters
13
and
crime
victim
assistance
organizations.
Minimum
course
14
of
study
requirements
shall
also
include
a
sexual
assault
15
curriculum.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
citizenship
requirements
for
law

enforcement
officers.

The
bill
provides
that
minimum
entrance
requirements
for
22
entrance
to
approved
law
enforcement
training
schools
shall
23
include
that
any
law
enforcement
officer
be
a
citizen
of
the
24
United
States.
