H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 633C.3, subsection 1, paragraph a, Code 1 2024, is amended to read as follows: 2 a. A reasonable amount may be paid or set aside each month 3 for necessary expenses of the trust, not to exceed ten fifty 4 dollars per month without court approval. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill relates to medical income assistance trust fees. 9 The bill increases the amount that may be paid or set aside 10 each month for necessary trust expenses without court approval 11 for beneficiaries whose total monthly income is less than 125 12 percent of the average statewide charge for nursing facility 13 services to a private-pay resident of a nursing facility from 14 $10 to $50.
