H.F. _____ Section 1. MEDICAID HOME AND COMMUNITY-BASED SERVICES 1 WAIVER FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM —— REQUEST. The department 2 of health and human services shall submit a request to the 3 centers for Medicare and Medicaid services of the United States 4 department of health and human services for approval of a 5 Medicaid home and community-based services waiver for children 6 with autism. The department of health and human services shall 7 implement the waiver upon receipt of federal approval. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill requires the department of health and human 12 services (HHS) to submit a request to the centers for Medicare 13 and Medicaid services of the United States department of 14 health and human services for approval of a Medicaid home and 15 community-based services waiver for children with autism.
