REGISTRY.
No
later
than
January
1,
2024,
the
department
of
3
health
and
human
services
shall
implement
a
reimbursement
rate
4
add-on
methodology
under
the
Medicaid
program
for
services
5
provided
by
a
skilled
nursing
facility
or
nursing
facility
that
6
designates
a
secure
unit,
that
is
separate
and
secure
from
7
residents
with
chronic
confusion
or
a
dementing
illness
and
all
8
other
skilled
nursing
facility
and
nursing
facility
residents,
9
to
provide
services
to
individuals
that
are
required
to
10
register
as
sex
offenders
pursuant
to
chapter
692
and
who
meet
11
nursing
facility
level
of
care
requirements.
The
department
of
12
health
and
human
services
shall
inflate
the
reimbursement
rate
13
add-on,
annually,
from
the
midpoint
of
the
prior
state
fiscal
14
year
to
the
midpoint
of
the
current
state
fiscal
year
using
the
15
currently
available
CMS/SNF
index.

does

constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance

the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
that
no
later
than
January
1,
2024,
the
20
department
of
health
and
human
services
shall
implement
a
21
Medicaid
reimbursement
rate
add-on
methodology,
including
an
22
annual
inflation
adjustment,
for
services
provided
by
a
skilled
23
nursing
facility
or
nursing
facility
that
designates
a
secure
24
unit
to
provide
services
to
individuals
who
are
required
to
25
register
as
sex
offenders
and
meet
nursing
facility
level
of
26
care
requirements.
