H.F. 347 Section 1. Section 154.1, subsection 3, paragraph b, 1 subparagraph (1), Code 2023, is amended by adding the following 2 new subparagraph division: 3 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION . (e) Local anesthetics prior to a 4 minor surgical procedure authorized by this chapter. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill allows a licensed optometrist to administer a 9 local anesthetic prior to a minor surgical procedure authorized 10 by law.
