The
state
building
code
commissioner
shall
adopt
as
part
3
of
the
state
building
code
a
requirement
that
a
new
garage
4
constructed
for
a
single-family
or
two-family
residence
on
or
5
after
the
effective
date
of
this
Act
include
the
equipment
6
necessary
to
support
the
installation
of
a
level
two
electric
7
vehicle
charger.
For
the
purposes
of
this
section,
“level
two
8
electric
vehicle
charger”
means
an
electric
vehicle
charger
that
9
requires
connection
to
a
dedicated
two
hundred
four
volt
or
two
10
hundred
eighty
volt
electrical
circuit.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
requires
the
state
building
code
commissioner
to

adopt

the

code
