H.F. 262 Section 1. Section 139A.8, subsection 4, paragraph b, Code 1 2023, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. The exemptions under this subsection do not shall 3 apply in at all times of emergency , pandemic, or epidemic as 4 determined by the state board of health and as declared by the 5 director of public health and human services . 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill relates to a person’s vaccine exemption status 10 under Code section 139A.8 (immunization of children). 11 The bill provides that the exemptions provided under Code 12 section 139A.8 shall apply at all times including in times of 13 emergency, pandemic, or epidemic. 14 -1- LSB 1936YH (4) 90 pf/rh 1/ 1
