H.F. 261 Section 1. Section 558A.4, subsection 1, Code 2023, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . c. If the property is served by a private 3 well, the disclosure statement shall state whether the well 4 has been tested in the twelve months prior to the transfer for 5 contaminants harmful to human health and the results of any 6 such test if conducted. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill relates to the disclosure of private well water 11 testing prior to the transfer of real property.
