H.F. 2293 Section 1. Section 91D.1, subsection 1, paragraphs a and d, 1 Code 2024, are amended to read as follows: 2 a. The state hourly wage shall be at least $6.20 as of April 3 1, 2007, and $7.25 as of January 1, 2008 $10.85 as of July 1, 4 2024, $13.00 as of July 1, 2025, and $15.00 as of July 1, 2026 . 5 d. An employer is not required to pay an employee the 6 applicable state hourly wage provided in paragraph “a” until the 7 employee has completed ninety calendar days of employment with 8 the employer. An employer shall pay an employee who has not 9 completed ninety calendar days of employment with the employer 10 an hourly wage of at least $5.30 as of April 1, 2007, and $6.35 11 as of January 1, 2008 $9.95 as of July 1, 2024, $12.10 as of 12 July 1, 2025, and $14.10 as of July 1, 2026 . 13 EXPLANATION 14 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 15 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 16 This bill increases the state minimum hourly wage to $10.85 17 as of July 1, 2024, $13.00 as of July 1, 2025, and $15.00 as of 18 July 1, 2026. The bill increases the state minimum hourly wage 19 for employees employed for less than 90 days to $9.95 as of 20 July 1, 2024, $12.10 as of July 1, 2025, and $14.10 as of July 21 1, 2026. 22 -1- LSB 5624HT (6) 90 je/js 1/ 1
