H.F. 2174 Section 1. Section 321.109, Code 2024, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 4. The annual registration fee calculated 3 under this section or any other provision of this chapter shall 4 be reduced by fifty percent for an individual who is sixty-five 5 years of age or older. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill reduces the annual motor vehicle registration fee 10 by 50 percent for an individual who is 65 years of age or older. 11 -1- LSB 6028YH (2) 90 th/ns 1/ 1
