have

compatible

would
not
be
available
to
persons

with
disabilities
because
of

disabilities.
Any
such

employment
or

of

shall
not
discriminate
among

disabilities
on
the
basis
of

complaint
with
the
Iowa
civil
rights
commission.
Code

chapter
216
defines
“gender
identity”
as
the
gender-related
5
identity
of
a
person,
regardless
of
the
person’s
assigned
sex
6
at
birth.
For
purposes
of
Code
chapter
216,
the
bill
removes
7
gender
identity
as
a
protected
class
and
defines
“sex”
to
mean

a
person’s
biological
sex
