S.F. 461 Section 1. Section 331.390, subsection 2, Code 2021, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . 0b. A voting member of the governing 3 board who is not a county supervisor or a county supervisor’s 4 designee shall not vote on matters involving a region’s 5 expenditures. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill relates to the voting members of a governing board 10 of a mental health and disability services region. 11 The bill limits the voting rights of the voting members 12 of a governing board so that only a county supervisor or a 13 county supervisor’s designee shall have the authority to vote 14 on matters involving a mental health and disability services 15 region’s expenditures. 16 -1- LSB 2014SV (2) 89 dg/rh 1/ 1
