the

certain
persons

appointed

governor

allows

that

appointee

is

to
confirmation
by

and

appointing
authority

days
of
the

appointment.
The
request
shall
also
include
the
reason
why

confirmation
is
sought
and
shall
be
printed
in
the
journal

the
senate.
The
appointee
shall
be
considered
to
be
a

nominee
to
fill
a
vacancy
occurring
on
the
date
the
request
is

submitted.

The
bill
removes
provisions
for
mandatory
senate

confirmation
of
appointees
to
several
boards
and
commissions.

Such
appointees
would
be
subject
to
confirmation
at
the
request

of
a
member
of
the
senate
pursuant
to
the
bill.

The
bill
takes
effect
upon
enactment.
