subsection
1,

copy

the

for
a

under
competent

and
forward
the
other

copy
of
the
report
to
the

district’s
area
education
agency.

report
furnished
pursuant
to
paragraph
“a”
shall

state
the
name
and
age
of
the
child

the
period

time

the

instruction
is

evaluated
annually
to
determine
whether
the
child
is
making

adequate
progress
,
as
defined

bill
relates
to
competent
private
instruction,

assessment
requirements,
and
requires
the

nonlicensed
person
providing
private
instruction
to
possess
a

high
school
diploma
or
a
high
school
equivalency
diploma.

The
bill
requires
the
parent,
guardian,
or
legal
custodian

of
a
child
who
is
of
compulsory
attendance
age,
who

child
under
competent
private
instruction
under
Code

section
299A.2,
or
independent
private
instruction
or

instruction
under
Code
