1.
Section
282.18,
subsection
8,
Code
2021,
is

amended
by
adding
the
following
new
paragraph:

c.
For
children
requiring
special
education,

the
receiving
district
shall
complete
and
provide
to
the
4
district
of
residence
the
documentation
necessary
to
seek
5
Medicaid
reimbursement
for
eligible
services.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
8
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
when
a
child
requiring
special
10
education
transfers
from
the
child’s
school
district
of
11
residence
to
a
receiving
school
district,
the
receiving
school
12
district
shall
complete
and
provide
to
the
school
district
13
of
residence
the
documentation
necessary
to
seek
Medicaid
14
reimbursement
for
eligible
services.
