S.F. 2323 Section 1. 2018 Iowa Acts, chapter 1172, section 44, 1 subsection 1, is amended to read as follows: 2 1. By December 1, 2018, the department of natural resources 3 shall submit a report to the general assembly including all 4 financial assistance provided to private entities for the 5 acquisition of land and maintain an inventory of all land 6 managed or owned on behalf of the state by the department or 7 by a county conservation board . The inventory shall include 8 the common name, county, acres acquired, seller, year of 9 acquisition, price paid, federal moneys used, state moneys 10 used, county moneys used, and the manager of all land owned or 11 managed by the department or by a county conservation board. 12 The department shall maintain the inventory on the department’s 13 internet site and update the inventory within sixty days of 14 the department or a county conservation board acquiring new 15 property or acquiring a management interest in any property. 16 EXPLANATION 17 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 18 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 19 This bill relates to the inventory of state lands managed 20 or owned by the department of natural resources (DNR). In 21 2018, DNR was required to submit a report to the general 22 assembly including all financial assistance provided to private 23 entities for the acquisition of land and an inventory of all 24 land managed or owned on behalf of the state by DNR.
