1.
Section
84A.5,
Code
2022,
is
amended
by
adding
1
the
following
new
subsection:

NEW
SUBSECTION
.
16.
The
department
of
workforce

development
shall
ensure
that
companies
that
have
no
physical
4
presence
in
the
state
shall
not
be
allowed
to
advertise
for
5
workers
on
an
internet
site
maintained
by
any
state
agency
or
6
through
any
other
means
funded
by
an
appropriation
to
a
state
7
agency.

EXPLANATION

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
10
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
provides
that
the
department
of
workforce
12
development
shall
ensure
that
out-of-state
companies
cannot
13
advertise
for
workers
on
a
state
agency
internet
site
or
14
through
any
other
means
funded
by
an
appropriation
to
a
state
15
agency.
