S.F. 2107 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION —— WORKING GROUP —— 1 IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON COGNITIVE LEARNING. 2 1. The department of education shall convene and provide 3 administrative support to a working group that shall study the 4 impact of technology on the cognitive learning and academic 5 performance of students enrolled in prekindergarten through 6 grade six. 7 2. Any expenses incurred by a member of the working group 8 shall be the responsibility of the individual member or the 9 respective entity represented by the member. 10 3. The working group shall submit its findings and 11 recommendations to the general assembly by December 31, 2022. 12 EXPLANATION 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 14 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 15 This bill directs the department of education to convene a 16 working group to study the impact of technology on cognitive 17 learning.
