S.F. 2067 Section 1. MEDICAID PARTICIPATING PROVIDERS —— 1 REIMBURSEMENT RATE INCREASE. For the fiscal year beginning 2 July 1, 2022, the reimbursement rates for all Medicaid program 3 participating providers shall be increased by applying 4 the annual inflation rate for the United States for the 5 twelve-month period ending June 2022, published by the United 6 States department of labor, bureau of labor statistics, plus 7 one percent to the reimbursement rates in effect on June 8 30, 2022, in accordance with the reimbursement methodology 9 applicable to the specific provider type. The department of 10 human services shall obtain any federal approval necessary to 11 administer this section. 12 EXPLANATION 13 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 14 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 15 This bill provides that beginning July 1, 2022, the 16 reimbursement rates for all Medicaid participating providers 17 shall be increased by applying the annual inflation rate 18 for the United States for the 12-month period ending June 19 2022, plus 1 percent to the reimbursement rates in effect on 20 June 30, 2022, in accordance with the provider’s applicable 21 reimbursement methodology.
