Code
2021,
is
amended
to
read
as

follows:

1B.3
Flags
on
public
buildings.
3
1.
It
shall
be
the
duty
of
any
board
of
public
officers
4
charged
with
providing
supplies
for
a
public
building
in
the
5
state
to
provide
a
suitable
state
flag
and
it
shall
be
the
duty
6
of
the
custodian
of
that
public
building
to
raise
the
flags
of
7
the
United
States
of
America
and
the
state
of
Iowa,
upon
each
8
secular
day
when
weather
conditions
are
favorable.

2.
The
custodian
of
a
public
building
shall
be
authorized
10
to
raise
the
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag
on
a
11
flag
pole
upon
each
secular
day
when
weather
conditions
are
12
favorable.
If
the
custodian
of
a
public
building
raises
the
13
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag
on
a
flag
pole,
the
14
flag
shall
be
flown
second
in
order
of
precedence
directly
15
underneath,
or
adjacent
to,
the
flag
of
the
United
States
of
16
America.

This
bill
provides
that
a
custodian
of
a
public
building
may
21
raise
the
national
league
of
POW/MIA
families’
flag
upon
each
22
secular
day
when
weather
conditions
are
favorable.

The
bill
further
provides
that
if
the
national
league
of
24
POW/MIA
families’
flag
is
flown
on
a
flag
pole
of
a
public
25
building,
it
shall
be
flown
second
in
order
of
precedence,
26
directly
underneath,
or
adjacent
to,
the
flag
of
the
United
27
States
of
America.
