Senate Concurrent Resolution 103 - Introduced SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 103 BY WHITVER A Concurrent Resolution to approve and confirm the 1 appointment of Bernardo Granwehr as Ombudsman. 2 WHEREAS, Iowa Code chapter 2C provides for the 3 appointment of the Ombudsman with the approval and 4 confirmation of a constitutional majority of both the 5 Senate and the House of Representatives; and 6 WHEREAS, on February 10, 2022, the Legislative 7 Council appointed Mr. Bernardo Granwehr as 8 Ombudsman for a four-year term commencing July 1, 9 2022, subject to approval and confirmation of the 10 appointment by resolution of the Senate and House of 11 Representatives; NOW THEREFORE, 12 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, THE HOUSE OF 13 REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING, That Mr. Bernardo Granwehr 14 is approved and confirmed as Ombudsman for a four-year 15 term which commences July 1, 2022, as provided in Iowa 16 Code sections 2C.3 and 2C.5; and 17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That Mr. Bernardo Granwehr 18 shall hold the position of Acting Ombudsman from 19 February 18, 2022, until June 30, 2022. 20 -1- LSB 6032XS (4) 89 ss/rn 1/ 1
