failure
of
a
practitioner

fulfill
contractual
obligations,
the
board

the
practitioner’s
control.

institution
or

agency
and
approved
by
the
state

board
of
education,
must
possess
a
valid
license
for
the
types

of
programs
offered.

The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with

the
explanation’s

members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
relates
to
renewal
requirements
for
licenses
17
issued
by
the
board
of
educational
examiners
to
practitioners
18
with
master’s
or
doctoral
degrees.
19
Current
law
authorizes
the
board
of
educational
examiners
20
(BOEE)
to
establish
renewal
requirements
for
licensed
21
practitioners.
The
bill
provides
that
there
shall
be
no
22
renewal
requirement
for
a
practitioner
who
possesses
a
23
master’s
or
doctoral
degree.
The
bill
makes
conforming
24
changes,
including
changes
to
authorize
permanent
licensure
for
25
practitioners
who
possess
a
master’s
or
doctoral
degree.
The
26
bill
does
not
affect
the
BOEE’s
ability
to
deny
or
revoke
a
27
license
under
Code
section
272.2(14).
