H.F. _____ Section 1. Section 805.8B, subsection 3, paragraph q, Code 1 2022, is amended by striking the paragraph. 2 Sec. 2. REPEAL. Section 481A.36, Code 2022, is repealed. 3 EXPLANATION 4 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 5 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 6 This bill repeals Code section 483A.36, which generally 7 prohibits a person from having or carrying a gun, other than 8 a pistol or revolver, in or on a vehicle on a public highway 9 unless the gun is taken down or totally contained in a securely 10 fastened case and its barrels and attached magazines are 11 unloaded.
