H.F. 760 Section 1. Section 157.13, subsection 1, Code 2021, is 1 amended by adding the following new paragraph: 2 NEW PARAGRAPH . 0b. A licensee may practice at a location 3 which is not a licensed salon, school of cosmetology arts and 4 sciences, or licensed barbershop if a wedding is scheduled to 5 occur at that location on the day the practice occurs. The 6 department shall adopt rules for the practice of cosmetology 7 at such a location. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill allows a licensed cosmetologist to practice 12 cosmetology at a location that is not a licensed salon, school 13 of cosmetology arts and sciences, or licensed barbershop if 14 a wedding is scheduled to occur at that location on the day 15 the practice occurs.
