H.F. 541 Section 1. Section 49.57, subsection 2, Code 2021, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 2. After the name of each candidate for a partisan office 3 or for election to a school board the name of the candidate’s 4 political party shall be printed in at least six point 5 type. The names of political parties and nonparty political 6 organizations may be abbreviated on the remainder of the ballot 7 if both the full name and the abbreviation appear in the voter 8 instruction area of the ballot. 9 EXPLANATION 10 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 11 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 12 This bill relates to ballots for school board elections.
