1.
NEW
SECTION
.
504.103
Limitation
on
requirements
1
imposed
on
corporations.

1.
A
state
agency
or
state
official
shall
not
impose
any

requirement
on
a
corporation,
as
defined
in
section
504.141,
4
that
is
more
stringent,
restrictive,
or
expansive
than
5
requirements
in
Iowa
or
federal
law.
Any
requirement
imposed
6
on
a
corporation
contrary
to
this
section
is
void.

This
section
does
not
apply
to
any
of
the
following:

a.
University
foundations.
9
b.
General
administrative
requirements
regarding
10
facilitation
of
basic
communications
between
a
state
agency
or
11
official
and
a
corporation.

EXPLANATION
13
The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
14
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
prohibits
a
state
agency
or
state
official
from
16
imposing
any
requirement
on
a
nonprofit
corporation
that
is
17
more
stringent,
restrictive,
or
expansive
than
requirements
in
18
Iowa
or
federal
law.
Any
contrary
requirement
imposed
on
a
19
nonprofit
corporation
is
void.
20
The
bill
does
not
apply
to
university
foundations
or
general
21
administrative
requirements
regarding
facilitation
of
basic
22
communications
between
a
state
agency
or
official
and
a
23
corporation.
