H.F. 2364 Section 1. Section 422.7, Code 2022, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 31C. Subtract, to the extent included, 3 income received by a person seventy years of age or older. 4 Sec. 2. APPLICABILITY. This Act applies to tax years 5 beginning on or after January 1, 2023. 6 EXPLANATION 7 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 8 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 9 This bill establishes an income tax exclusion for persons 70 10 years of age or older.
