H.F. 2284 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 8A.406 Paid interns. 1 The department shall require, by rule, that an intern 2 performing job functions for a state agency be paid by the 3 state agency an hourly wage for hours worked for the state 4 agency. 5 EXPLANATION 6 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 7 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 8 This bill requires the department of administrative services 9 to require, by rule, that interns working for a state agency be 10 paid an hourly wage for hours worked for that state agency. 11 -1- LSB 5575YH (2) 89 ec/rn 1/ 1
