H.F. 2273 Section 1. NEW SECTION . 2.9A Consideration of bills. 1 A bill shall not be considered by the senate or house of 2 representatives until the secretary of the senate or the clerk 3 of the house of representatives, as applicable, reads aloud 4 the legislative history of the bill, to include information 5 on subcommittee votes, committee votes, and a summary of any 6 public hearing conducted on the bill. 7 EXPLANATION 8 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 9 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 10 This bill provides that a bill shall not be considered by 11 the senate or house of representatives until the secretary of 12 the senate or the clerk of the house of representatives, as 13 applicable, reads aloud the legislative history of the bill. 14 -1- LSB 6061YH (3) 89 ec/rn 1/ 1
