subsection
11,
Code
2022,
is

amended
to
read
as
follows:

Any
savings
realized
under
this
section
may
be
used

the
extent
necessary
to
pay
the
costs
associated
with

implementation
of
this
section
prior
to
reversion
to
the
5
medical
assistance
program.
The
department
shall
report
the

amount
of
any
savings
realized
and
the
amount
of
any
costs
paid

to
the
legislative
fiscal
committee
on
a
quarterly
basis.

each

and

report

required

the

preferred
drug
list
program.
DHS
has

revised
the
process
to
report
program
performance.
The
annual

national
health
expenditure
report
released
by
the
centers

for
Medicare
and
Medicaid
services
which
reflects
the
results
5
of
the
new
process
is
posted,
annually,
on
the
Iowa
Medicaid
6
website.
7
The
bill
also
changes
the
date
by
which
DHS
is
required
8
to
submit
an
annual
report
to
the
governor
and
the
general
9
assembly
regarding
the
average
amount
expended
per
Medicaid
10
waiver
recipient
for
the
elderly
waiver
and
the
brain
injury
11
waiver
each
fiscal
year
from
October
1
to
December
30.
