H.F. 2142 Section 1. Section 355.10, Code 2022, is amended by adding 1 the following new subsection: 2 NEW SUBSECTION . 4. Within thirty days of the surveyor 3 recording a plat of survey with the county recorder, a 4 proprietor, as defined in section 354.2, or any other affected 5 party may petition the district court in the county where the 6 plat of survey was recorded to challenge the accuracy of the 7 recorded plat of survey. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill relates to challenging the accuracy of a recorded 12 plat of survey. The bill allows a proprietor or any other 13 affected party to petition the district court in the county 14 where the plat was recorded to challenge the accuracy of the 15 recorded plat.
