H.F. 2071 Section 1. Section 157.1, subsection 26, Code 2022, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 26. “Salon” means a fixed establishment or place or an 3 establishment that is readily movable where one or more persons 4 engage in the practice of cosmetology arts and sciences, 5 including, but not limited to, a retail establishment where 6 cosmetologists engage in the practice of cosmetology arts and 7 sciences. 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill modifies the definition of “salon” to include an 12 establishment that is readily movable where one or more persons 13 engage in the practice of cosmetology arts and sciences. 14 -1- LSB 5688YH (1) 89 ss/rh 1/ 1
