H.F. 2050 Section 1. Section 321G.4, subsection 4, Code 2022, is 1 amended to read as follows: 2 4. Notwithstanding subsections 1 and 2 , a snowmobile 3 manufactured prior to 1984 1994 may be registered as an 4 antique snowmobile for a one-time fee of twenty-five dollars, 5 which shall exempt the owner from annual registration and fee 6 requirements for that snowmobile. However, if ownership of an 7 antique snowmobile is transferred, the new owner shall register 8 the snowmobile and pay the one-time fee as required under this 9 subsection . An antique snowmobile may be registered with only 10 a signed bill of sale as evidence of ownership. 11 EXPLANATION 12 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 13 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 14 Under current law, the owner of a snowmobile manufactured 15 prior to 1984 may register the snowmobile as an antique.
