amended

adding

A
sex
offender
who
is
required
to

register
in
another
jurisdiction
under
the
other
jurisdiction’s

sex
offender
registry
but
who
resides,
is
employed,
or
attends

school
in
this
state
shall
be
required
to
register
for
a
period

of
time
equal
to
the
period
of
time
required
under
the
other
12
jurisdiction’s
requirements
or
under
Iowa
law,
whichever
is
13
longer.

adding
the

person
convicted
of
extortion
under

this
section
shall
be
required
to
register
as
a
sex
offender

pursuant
to
the
provisions
of
chapter
692A,
if
a
determination

is
made
that
the
offense
was
sexually
motivated
pursuant
to
23
section
692A.126.

inclusion

this
explanation
does

constitute
agreement

members

the
general

This
bill
relates
to
the
sex
offender
registry
including

duration
of
registration
requirements
and
sexually
motivated
29
extortion.

The
bill
provides
that
a
sex
offender
who
is
required
to
31
register
in
another
jurisdiction
under
the
other
jurisdiction’s
32
sex
offender
registry
but
who
resides,
is
employed,
or
attends
33
school
in
Iowa
shall
be
required
to
register
for
a
period
of
34
time
equal
to
the
period
of
time
required
under
the
other

bill
