H.F. 105 Section 1. Section 282.18, subsection 10, paragraph b, Code 1 2021, is amended to read as follows: 2 b. A receiving district may send school vehicles into the 3 district of residence of the a pupil using the participating in 4 open enrollment option under this section , for the purpose of 5 transporting in order to transport the pupil to and from school 6 in the receiving district , if the boards of both the sending 7 and receiving districts agree to this arrangement . 8 EXPLANATION 9 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 10 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 11 This bill eliminates a requirement that the receiving and 12 sending school districts must mutually agree on an arrangement 13 for transportation of a pupil participating in open enrollment 14 before the receiving district can send a school vehicle into 15 the pupil’s district of residence to transport the pupil to and 16 from school in the receiving district. 17 -1- LSB 1240YH (3) 89 kh/jh 1/ 1
