TRANSITION
PROVISIONS.
Any
moneys
remaining
in
1
any
account
or
fund
under
the
control
of
the
Missouri
river
2
preservation
and
land
use
authority
shall
be
transferred
to
the
3
general
fund
of
the
state
on
the
effective
date
of
this
Act.

EXPLANATION
5
The
inclusion
of
this
explanation
does
not
constitute
agreement
with
6
the
explanation’s
substance
by
the
members
of
the
general
assembly.

This
bill
repeals
the
Missouri
river
preservation
and
land
8
use
authority
(authority).
9
Currently,
the
authority
exists
to
engage
in
comprehensive
10
planning
for
and
the
development
and
implementation
of
11
strategies
designed
to
preserve
and
restore
the
landscape
12
adjacent
to
the
Missouri
river.
The
authority
is
required
to
13
work
with
interested
parties
in
developing
plans
and
proposals
14
and
conducting
public
hearings
relating
to
the
conservation,
15
preservation,
and
acquisition
of
land
adjacent
to
the
Missouri
16
river.
The
authority
also
administers
the
Missouri
river
17
preservation
and
land
use
fund
in
order
to
further
the
purposes
18
of
the
authority.
19
The
bill
repeals
the
authority
and
makes
conforming
changes
20
to
the
Code.
Upon
the
effective
date
of
the
bill,
any
moneys
21
remaining
in
any
account
or
fund
under
the
control
of
the
22
authority
shall
be
transferred
to
the
general
fund
of
the
23
state.
