Senate Resolution 6 - Introduced SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 6 BY WHITING A Resolution congratulating Seth Rollins on his recent 1 Royal Rumble victory and acknowledging his upcoming 2 match for the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. 3 (WWE) Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar at 4 WrestleMania 35. 5 WHEREAS, Seth Rollins is a native of Buffalo, Iowa, 6 and currently resides in Davenport, Iowa; and 7 WHEREAS, Mr. Rollins is a professional wrestler who 8 has been signed to WWE since 2010 and has headlined 9 numerous WWE events; and 10 WHEREAS, on January 27, 2019, Mr. Rollins won his 11 first Royal Rumble match, an annual professional battle 12 royal wrestling event hosted by WWE; and 13 WHEREAS, as a result of his Royal Rumble victory, 14 Mr. Rollins has chosen to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE 15 Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35; and 16 WHEREAS, WrestleMania is a flagship event and is 17 the most successful and longest-running professional 18 wrestling event in WWE’s history; and 19 WHEREAS, WrestleMania has facilitated the rise to 20 stardom of several top WWE wrestlers; and 21 WHEREAS, WrestleMania 35 will take place on April 7, 22 2019, at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New 23 Jersey; and 24 WHEREAS, it is anticipated that millions of viewers 25 will tune in to WrestleMania 35; and 26 WHEREAS, Mr. Rollins’ match with Brock Lesnar for 27 the WWE Universal Championship will be the headlining 28 -1- LSB 2462SS (3) 88 mo/rn 1/ 2
