S.F. 2223 Section 1. Section 260C.14, subsection 21, paragraph a, 1 Code 2020, is amended by adding the following new subparagraph: 2 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH . (10) Information collected from surveys 3 administered annually or as necessary by the community college 4 relating to the following: 5 (a) The number of students enrolling in the community 6 college that intend to continue on to a university to pursue 7 a baccalaureate degree. 8 (b) The academic progress of the community college’s 9 students who are preparing to pursue a baccalaureate degree at 10 a university. 11 (c) The number of students graduating from the community 12 college with an associate degree who have enrolled in a 13 university to pursue a baccalaureate degree. 14 EXPLANATION 15 The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with 16 the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly. 17 This bill adds information collected by community college 18 surveys relating to students’ baccalaureate degree intentions, 19 progress toward a baccalaureate degree, and enrollment in a 20 university following graduation, to the data the board of 21 directors of a community college must provide to the department 22 of education through the department’s management information 23 system.
